By the end of this course, you will be able to write your own CV or Curriculum Vitae highlighting your academic potential, professional experience, and your disposition and aptitude for different skills. This course will provide you with the language elements to talk about current issues in the corporate world, including occupations, professional profiles, academic experiences, job applications, and so on. The activities suggested offer multiple opportunities to work on notions and functions of English such us gerunds, perfect tenses, discourse markers, and vocabulary related to skills and personality.

This course has been designed to accompany your learning process on a guided basis, taking you to complete the main task through the development of three sub-tasks that aim at strengthening your comprehension and production skills through different strategies. For the main task of the course, you will create your own CV and will also apply to a job by having an interview performing two different roles, the interviewer, and the possible interviewee.

In order to complete Sub-task A, you will record a conversation about your experience in the workforce and your ideal job opportunity; Sub-task B requires you to work on a job interview taking two different roles; and finally, you will write a draft for your resume when working on Sub-task C. Bear in mind that actively participating in live sessions, and completing the tasks established is essential to successfully completing the course.
