One topic format configuration

This format allows you to view the topics of the course by tabs. To select this format type you must go to Settings block, click on Course administration, and then click on Edit settings (See figure 1).

A new screen appears, and in the Format option you must select Onetopic format (See figure 2). Do not forget to save changes.

When you select Onetopic format, every topic is displayed in an independent tab (See figure 3).

You can view all your resources in the Navigation block too, so you can access each of them by clicking on it (See figure 4).

The Jump to… menu, placed on the bottom of the page is another way to access the topics (See figure 5).

Every tab displays a default name (“Topic 0”, “Topic 1”…), if you want to customize tabs names you must turn the editing of the course on by clicking on Turn editing on button placed on the right top of the screen (See figure 6).

When you turn editing on, an icon is displayed on the left top of the topic (See figure 7); this icon allows you to edit the title and the description of each topic.

When you click on the Edit topic icon, a new page is opened in which you can write the title of the topic. Additionally, in the HTML editor, you can write a short text describing the topic (See figure 8). Finally click on Save changes button.

The appearance of the edited topic is shown in the figure 9. Notice that the title of the topic is used as the tab name.
