Activity 44: Final Project

Our final project was called "A Crazy Ride in Mi Moto Through Medellin." This title was a combination of English and Spanish to represent our intercultural group. I think that the final exhibit turned out very well considering we only had two days. I was in charge of the physical aspect of our project, and I had so much fun building the mini city and designing the layout of the environment in the gallery. Our environment included a street, a fruit stand, native plants, a miniature city replica, and street art to make people feel immersed in "Medellin" while playing the video game.

Activity 42: Final Project Proposal

I created a slideshow for our group pitching our idea of a first person motorcycle video game for the final project.

Activity 33: Interactive Transportation

My partner and I decided to make something fairly simple, as neither of us have much experience coding. I created the background digitally, inspired by the city of Medellin. The script allows the user to move a bus shuttle around the scene, with a small trail of smoke following behind. The code can be accessed here.

Activity 21: Object Archive

My final version of the 3D devil angel! The horns got cut off a bit, but other than that I am very happy with how the 3D model came out.

Activity 10: Will You Take Me With You

I chose to model an angel salt shaker. I thought it was very cute, and I do love some well seasoned food. This object can't be taken with me when I travel since it is made out of glass, so I decided to model it for the 3D print.  At the end, I added devil horns to the angel to create a paradox. I'm very excited to see how it turns out printed!

Activity 3: Stamp

For my stamp, I wanted to make a collage of images that represent California, since that is where I am from and it has been a large part of my life. The sun, palm trees, waves, and surf boards all symbolize the sunny, beautiful coast that I grew up on. I included the state bear and state flower (a poppy), and added mountains and birds because one of the things I miss most while away from home is going hiking in the mountains, and looking out over the city lights or watching the sunset from high up.

Activity 12: Imaginary Places Map

This was the first group activity we did for this class. Even though there was a large language barrier in our group, we used Google Translate to communicate and figure out what to draw. I drew the chair and table because in my major, I am constantly sitting at a desk working, and I drew the piano because there was one near me at the time and I love music. I also added the flowers and the sunset because I love nature and I wanted to add some color to our map.
