Las aves hacen parte de lo que soy como persona, me reconozco frágil como ellas, son sinónimo de libertad, de alas, el bienteveo alicastaño es una de las aves que más podemos encontrar en el área metropolitana.

Esta es una cartografía de una memoria, un mapa de recuerdos de mi estadía en Bogotá durante dos días dónde experimenté por primera vez lo que es viajar en un avión, ver la ciudad tan chica desde tan alto, dónde ver las formas de las nubes cobraban un nuevo sentido y me sentía chiquita ante tanta inmensidad. Las personas somos memorias, recuentos de experiencias en este transito temporal por este mundo, esta es externalización de esa memoria.
¿Cómo suena?
Uno de nuestros sentidos primordiales es la escucha, así se escucha el mundo desde casa.
Lugares imaginarios
Esta ciudad se ubica a cuestas de un ave, un lugar en constante movimiento, una comunidad viva por sus habitantes, es un mundo chiquito y nómada, el frío puede ser un problema en los largos trayectos en los que el ave puede estar en busca de su nuevo hogar, aquí los cambios son la norma, la quietud aturde y volar no es solo un capricho.
Me llevarás en ti
Hay personas que han sido soporte para mi vida, a pesar de que las tengo cerca del corazón, en estos momentos no están conmigo y este oso es un símbolo de uno de mi grupo de amigos que en el último año fueron un pilar para mi vida y que me han ayudado a seguir a pesar de las circunstancias.

Final Art Exhibit:
For my group's idea, we created Spectrum of Baile which is an interactive exhibit showcasing the art of dance and music from the United States and Colombia. In the exhibit, people can interact with a video/sound show by casting a shadow on the projection of the video. Depending on where their shadow is, the projector shows two dances overlaid on top of each other with varying opacity. The music for the dance videos is also adapted.

Description: Spectrum of baile is a large-scale, participatory art installation designed to interconnect Colombia and the United States. Powerful projections and sounds act as “bridges of light” that link up the cultures in a multi-sensorial experience. The piece creates a fluid projection of light that can be modified by visitors to five interactive stations, which depending on the spectators' positions the sound and the video they will hear and see will vary. This installation is strongly related to the travel metaphor in which not only we aim to transport the viewers into different cultures just by changing their positions but also, we used metamorphosis as a visual representation of the changes you go through when traveling.
The projector has 2 uses, one to project the video and one to create clearly defined shadows used to track people's movements. In order for you to interact with our piece, feel free to walk in front of the projector and cast a shadow in the different sensors located on the wall and see the magic happen.
The interactive part of our installation is managed by Arduino and Photoresistors which control the animations displayed and the sounds played.
I did the sound editings, the dance was in charge of Ivon our partner from Medellin, Andrea did all the animations and Trey did all the amazing programing.
