Isabella Higginbotham

STAMP

This is my stamp! It represents my hometown, Louisville, KY and traveling to Medellin (the outline of the Cathedral). The image is of Churchill Downs during Derby week which is a huge event for my city.

MAP

This is our map for our pets journey in space as well as our thought process.

3D MODEL OBJECT

I am using a small figurine of Grogu (baby yoda) I received as part of a Christmas gift. I love Star Wars and have always wanted to pay tribute to it in my art as it was some of the first video games I played.

GAME

For the cable car game project, Estephania and I decided to go with an idea of a sun escaping or trying to hide from clouds. We are making it a 2D sidescroller and I am creating the code, while she is doing the art.

I had to change my 3D model because the Grogu Model ended up being too complicated. As such, I decided to make a moon which said "The moon looks beautiful tonight, doesn't it?" which is another way to say I love you.

Final Project

For the final project, my team decided to create an interactive video game called "A Crazy Ride en mi Moto en Medellin." The objective of the game is to drive through Medellin on a motorcycle and avoid objects in the road. The game ends once the player crashes. It is supposed to mimic the craziness of how motorcyclists drive in Medellin while paying tribute to the different places in the city. Additionally, we wanted our player to feel completely immersed in the experience so we created a physical environment which mimicked parts of Medellin and related to our game (see photo). In the end, although we were not able to implement the crash mechanic, the game was still interactive and paid tribute to Medellin in an interactive/artistic manner.
